In Office environment there are many instances where you need to discuss and deliberate before taking any action. So what does discussion bring to the table ?
Its an exercise where you seek everyone’s opinion before taking any action because all are the stakeholders are involved, many a times you discuss with elders and seniors because they are much more experienced and will give you a better advice. Its often seen that the discussions are fruitful if done in a focused manner without diverting on other things, as it soon turns out to be just gossip. I am sure the next time you start any discussion you will make sure that it is result oriented and does not consume much of your time.
